I love it it’s the best
I love this app for my son but I wish there were more “levels” so he would want to keep playing to unlock more scenarios 🤷♀️ once he unlocked the few there he was done with it 🤦♀️ but he was calm while playing.
This app is even amazing for me, a 14 year old. The monster is adorable and teaches amazing lessons on how to calm yourself. This app is so cute and motivates me to do the right thing. Thank you for creating this! ❤️
It gets stuck on a loading screen. It’s great if it works but hasn’t worked for a week now, on more than one device.
This app is so fun I love it so much you should get it and it is free
It was advertised as a breathing app but all I have seen in this app is how to put on your shoe it didn’t even tell me how to tie it just put it on and that dose not make. sense to me dose it make sense to you
Why won’t Sesame Street fix this??? Very good concept but no amount of breathing can save this app. Frustrating & very close to worthless.
OK let’s start a right here I got this game today end it said it would let you choose Any level so I had to wait a long time to get that levelAnd The game even says you can pick any level that👿😒🙄
My Sister is 5 and she likes it so much! Even the bugs are fixed up too I could give this forever ratings! Make sure you responded please I like you
Having a problem with crashing on my iOS device. When it works it’s a nice tool for teaching my newly 3yr old, deep breathing, self awareness, problem solving, problems, and managing himself. I wish 1. It didn’t crash so dang much and 2. There were more examples of the monster getting upset and finding a solution, and 3. Less ask a gown up for help...example: monster building a bock tower that falls. His options are, wider base, two separate towers, ask an adult. The monster could as a friend .
My almost 2 year old is having a lot of fun with this app. He caught on to the deep breathing and it has given us vocabulary for when he’s upset. I ask him to try his monster breathing. He is starting to get the concept and is really able to regulate much faster.
Bad app, lots of bugs, needs fixed, don’t get!!!!!
Please release an update to address the bugs which have been plaguing this app for some time now. It freezes at the end of every step.
Please fix bugs. It won't let me download full version
This app keeps crashing just a few moments into each video now. it worked a month ago when I first got it but now my daughter wants to check it out again and looks like I'll just have to delete it
My four year old loves the app, but it does have some bugs. It will close spontaneously or freeze.
It keeps freezing and only play the audio, I had to delete and reinstall it every time. Needs updating, the concept is great, my 18month baby loves when the monster is upset and he has to rub his belly. Please update it.
Needs updating to fix bugs
As a practicing school psychologist I use this with all of my elementary school students. During our sessions we focus on de-escalation techniques, mindful practices, cognitive distortions and realities, solution-oriented approaches, and conflict resolution. This app teaches ALL of that in a child-friendly and engaging format. I have recommended this app to many of my colleagues and recommend it to any educator or parent wishing to enhance the aforementioned skills.
Wow! I'm a developmental specialist and this is perfect for children and parents I work with. I got it for my iPhone 6s and have tried it a few times and works perfectly so far. I'm excited that there is finally attention being given to emotional development and not just abc and 123
Only worked once on an older generation iPad. After that only the audio worked. The visual was stuck on the home screen. On a newer iPad it would work but would often freeze, causing my toddler to be in the same frustrated state the main character is in!
I love this app so far. Except that I can't get it to work; it crashes constantly.
I teach three and four year olds. We deal with a LOT of strong emotions! I highly recommend this app for parents of young children and for teachers! In fact I've encouraged parents to download it at parent teacher conferences! This app offers five common frustrating scenarios that occur in childhood, and a model to help children cope in an effective manner. It teaches them to take three, deep breaths when they are mad or frustrated, which is a tool I use all the time in the classroom. They pop the bubbles to give them time to think of a solution, then the app offers three developmentally appropriate choices. It's fun and encourages problem solving.
Can't get volume to work anymore....plz help.
Now that the sound is working it's great! I work with pre-schoolers, they really enjoy it!
I liked parts of the first challenge that focused on frustration. It engaged the viewer in the practice of calming down and modeled coming up with a solution from a choice of 3 plans. However there are too few topics and practice opportunities to make this a really useful app.
My children really enjoy this app! But for some reason there is an issue with the volume, which causes frustration because my children are having a difficult time listening!
The volume is almost inaudible. You need to put the device right up to your ear and then you cannot even really hear it. I would love to use this with my child once this is hopefully fixed.
This app is great, but the Nov. 2015 update ruined the volume; my son and I can't hear it!?! This would otherwise be a 5-star app. Please fix it!
I have used this app with my preschool kids and have loved it. I would have given it a higher rating but when the new update came out, it refused to download it. So, I foolishly deleted it so that I could re-download the newer version. Now, it refuses to let me do that! I am extremely sad as this was really helping some of my students with their breathing. Please fix it so that I can use it once more!
What happened to the sound? Will rate higher when fixed. We love this game but we uploaded the new patch the sound almost completely disappeared. My son is not happy
Was excited about this app but it won't even start on my ipad.
This is an amazing app. I use it as a school counselor to reinforce breathing and self-regulation skills. But,.. It has stopped working. I have tried uninstalling and still not working. Please Fix this SS! My students miss it.
I love the game!
App was great until it stopped working
I tried to use this app to calm an agitated student on the autism spectrum. He was responsive--but then the app crashed. This was not calming! Seems like this could be a great app once the bugs are fixed. I would love to be able to use it. Please help!
My son likes to help the monster breathe, but the app always crashes after the first activity.
I use this app with preschoolers who need to learn to self regulate. The other day in my free clinic, I let a nonverbal five year old with autism take my iPad to explore some games while I spoke with his mother.I watched out of the corner of my eye while he drifted from game to game unengaged. Suddenly he found this app, and I assumed he would be bored instantly. Instead he was engaged for over 20 minutes, trying his best to mimic the breathing exercises demonstrated, and easily interacting with the activities. A little smile emerged as he listened to the lessons—even his mother couldn’t believe how attentive and involved he was. Please make more apps on self-regulating of behavior—this generation seems to need it more than ever, especially those children who don’t have disabilities :)
My son loves this app, when it works! It keeps crashing in the middle of an activity and he bursts out crying every time. Please fix this!
This app crashes before its even open!!!! It is totally useless. Plz help. Fix immediately!
Closes up every time I try to open it😡
I was very excited for my son to try this app but it crashes at the beginning. Very disappointing!
Closed each time I opened it on iPad mini...
This app is amazing! I use it with preschoolers with special needs at various levels of functioning and they all learn how to breathe with the monster. I would highly recommend it and wished there were more scenarios to the app (because I would be willing to pay for them!).
it keeps going back to the home screen when I want to go in
Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame is an incredible interactive app on learning to self regulate by using the medium of the breath, then brainstorming a plan of action. I love how this teaches children that calming is within themselves and not through an external mean. There are 5 different situations familiar to kids in their everyday lives - dealing with frustration, fear, impatience, etc. Helping the monster come up with a plan of action, models making decisions or plans of actions. As a child becomes more involved in the decision making, they grow more confident and capable and willing to try alternatives to habitual patterns. There are 3 alternatives to explore in helping the little monster overcome his obstacle. Exploring each, demonstrates that there are no right or wrong answers to solving many problems...and that we may have to try a couple of things to help us calm down. Once a decision is made, you get to see the outcome play out, insuring further exploration of other choices. You are also reinforced by the narrator tellin you how helpful you've been. The hardest lesson for me as an adult has always been, that I do not have to follow habitual patterns, and that I can change on the spot. This is a valuable app for parents and clinicians, and one that should be reinforced as situations come up. Highly Highly Recommended.
I have an original iPad iOS 5 for my 2 year old. Sadly as promising as this app seems we are not able to use it due to it constantly crashing.
I just finished doing all of the activities in the new "Breathe, Think, Do" app from Sesame Street. Fabulous app! I love that the app includes examples of self-directed solutions as well as seeking help from an adult. And that 3 ideas for solutions are shown for each situation (helping kids see that there can be multiple alternatives). It's really cool how the app depicts the monster calming down as he breathes and thinks. The "Parent" section of the app has fabulous tips too. Most of the kids on my caseload have Autism or closely related diagnoses and high levels of anxiety. This app will be great to use with them.
